Weblog - Overview
So called weblogs (also called "blogs") are of large popularity, since they make it easy to publish up-to-date information and opinions in form of a diary on your website. These entries can be read, linked, and commented by interrested readers.
Additionally, all entries published are archived chronologically and can be searched and filtered using this software. Of course you also have the possibility to create several "blogs" on different subjects which can be operated parallel on the website. Therefore, contributions can be published seperately at different subjects.
This modern kind of diary applies to, e.g., event documentations, longer-period activities, as well as personalization of Internet sites, since they get a personal character through the diary style.
Weblog - Installing & Summary of Features
Installing/Uninstalling Weblogs
Open your Domaintechnik Control Panel and click on the link Weblog, to get to your Weblog Manager. Here you can install/uninstall your weblog. To install your weblog, first click on Create new and then enter a path within your webspace, where you would like the necessary files to be copied to. As soon as all files have been copied, you can start the setup and configuration with a click on Install. If you would like to remove the software, click on Delete in the Forum Manager and select if the database should be deleted as well (e.g. if the database contains data of other programs). In your Weblog Manager click on the link Startpage or enter the address of your domain and the installation path of the weblog, into a browser.
e.g. www.yourdomain.tld/weblog/
(Replace "yourdomain.tld" with your actual domain name and "weblog" with your actual weblog installation path.)
Administration
In order to get to the weblog administrator section, click on the link Administration and log on with the access data provided during the installation.
