Weblog - Overview
So called weblogs (also short named "blogs") are of large popularity, since they make it easy to publish up-to-date information and own opinions in form of a diary on your website. These entries can be read, linked and commented by interrested readers.
Additionally all entries published are archived chronologically and can be searched and filtered with use of this software. Certainly several "blogs" on different subjects can be created by the users and operated parallel on the website. Therefor contributions can be published seperately at different subjects.
This modern kind of diaries applies to, for example, event documentations or longer-period activities, as well as for personalizing of Internet sites, since they get a personal character through the diary style.
Weblog - Installing & Summary of Features
Installing/Uninstalling Weblogs
Open your Domaintechnik Control Panel and click on the link Weblog to get to your Weblog Manager, where you can install/uninstall your weblog. First click on Create new and enter a path within your webspace, where to copy the necessary files. As soon as all files are copied, you can start the setup with a click on Install and do the configuration. If you would like to remove the software, click on Delete in the Forum Manager and select if the database should be deleted, too, e.g. if the database contains data of other programs.
Viewing the Weblog
In your Weblog Manager click on the link Startpage or enter the address of your domain and the installation path into a browser, e.g. www.yourdomain.com/weblog/.
(Replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name and "weblog" with your weblog installation path.)
Administrator Range
In order to get to the weblog administrator range click on the link Administration and log on with the access data chosen at installation.
