MySQL Database - Overview
MySQL is a widespread open source database, characterized by speed and reliability. Depending on your Profi Server Package, you have access to 0 - 18 MySQL databases.
MyPHPAdmin serves as optimal addition. With the use of this tool you can manage your database(s) simply and efficiently.

Installing MySQL
In order to install MySQL database(s) on your Profi Server, open your Domaintechnik Control Panel and click on the button MySQL Database and then on Install. The MySQL database function will be installed within 10 minutes. After the installation you will find your phpMyAdmin user interface under the menu item MySQL Database in your Domaintechnik Control Panel.
The phpMyAdmin user interface will display a test database and your own database(s), labeled u#_db# (e.g. u75_db1).
In the Database Manager you can add and delete databases. In order to edit a database click on the corresponding name. Then the phpMyAdmin user interface will appear, showing the test database and all available databases, labeled as mentioned above.
Maintenance of your Database
Key Data:
User name: u# (database "u75_db1" => the user name reads as "u75")
Database name: u#_db# (e.g. u75_db1)
Server name / host: localhost
Password: yourpassword (the same password used for accessing your Domaintechnik Control Panel)
