Mambo - Overview

Mambo, an Open Source CMS, on the basis of PHP and MySQL, is characterized particularly by the very simple operation with, nevertheless, high functionality. The maintenance of a website is carried out via this system 100% webbased and can be done from anywhere without any additional software by means of a webbrowser.

Important: Please note that we cannot offer a free of charge support, regarding questions about Mambo, because of the enormous range of functions this product carries along.


Mambo - Installation & Summary of Features

Installing/Uninstalling Mambo

Open your Domaintechnik Control Panel and click on the link Mambo CMS. You are now in your Mambo CMS Manager, with which Mambo can be installed and uninstalled. To install Mambo, you first have to click on the link Create new, enter the desired installation path and select the version needed. The necessary files will now be copied to your webspace within the next 10 minutes.As soon as all files have been copied, click on Install to start the initial setup and the configuration of Mambo. If you want to uninstall the software again, click on Uninstall in the Mambo Manager and select whether or not the database should be deleted as well.

View Mambo

Open your Mambo Manager and click on the link Start page or enter the address of your domain and the path chosen at installation in a browser; e.g. www.yourdomain.tld/mambo/.
(Replace "yourdomain.tld" with the actual domain and "mambo" with your installation path of Mambo.)

Administrator Section

In order to get to the administration area of Mambo, click on the link Administration, in your Mambo Manager, and log on with the access data chosen at the time of installation.
