| A font contains the information necessary to specify the size, weight and spacing of a set of characters. There are two ways to display fonts: a bitmap fomat, where each character is represented by an arrangement of dots or a vector format, where the outline of each character is defined geometrically. PostScript and TrueType are examples of vector font systems. |
