About Us

Server Hardware we use

Exclusive branded hardware. Server with failover cluster operation for fail-safe performance.

For webhosting we only use reliable, branded hardware. Thus we are able to employ optimal state-of-the-art equipment and an excellent service network.

Our Web space servers are equipped as follow:

  • Dual processor systems, 2x Intel® Xeon® X5660 2.80 GHz (Six-Core+HT)
  • 6 hot swap SAS high speed drives (15000 RPM) per server, RAID 5
  • 64 GB RAM per server (DDR3, ECC, registered, triple-channeel-mode)
  • Each server has two power supply units and each six (2*3) GigaBit Fast-Ethernet Network Adapters.


All necessary spare parts are stored on site.
Website-, database-, and emaildata is backed up daily. These backups are stored for a minimum term of seven days.


Domaintechnik customers have access to a tool to backup their websites and online databases. This tool can be found at your Domaintechnik Control Panel and is available for every Profi Server webhosting package.


Webhosting at the Most Important Internet Node of Austria:

Cisco 7200 VXR router with failover cluster operation for system stability of the Domaintechnik backbone.

Our network is connected directly to the Vienna Internet Exchange (VIX), the most important Internet node in Austria. Additionally we have two further redundantly switched lines, connected to the high quality international fiber glass cables of interoute and LambdaNet.


Aside of our redundant international connections, we maintain the most important national, as well as international Internet service provider - Direct-Connections to be able to offer the best possible Connection (regarding fastest possible availability, as well as high data transfer rates) to our customers.


The network and servers are monitored electronically 24/7. In case of technical problems our highly qualified personnel reacts immediately during the day, and within about one hour during the night. Dual Cisco routers, switches and branded servers are constantly operating. If one of them fails, the other will jump in as automated failover and continue the services.


The data center has the following infrastructure for the security of your websites and data:

  • Humidity control
  • Automated fire protection system with a inergen quenching gas extinguisher
